Job Description:

Optico Fiber is looking for Network Engineers with all sorts of experiences. From Senior/VP Level to Entry Level. Come join this fast growing company. Candidates must be willing to be on-call. Jr. and Sr level positions may be given hybrid remote schedule if they meet certain criteria. General Skill sets: -Routing (OSPF, BGP, MPLS) in IPv4 & IPv6 -Switching -Network control & monitoring systems (SNMP, Radius, DHCP, DNS, NTP, ) -PON (CWDM, GPON, XGS-PON) -Linux/UNIX background Entry Level -Installation, management and administration of Critical Hub's communications network. Including the LAN, WAN, and MPLS, environments. -Provide Tier 2 customer support and help the Technical Support department's operations -Provide support to our network and field technicians -Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company Jr. Level -Implementation of network hardware, including routers, switches, VOIP equipment, security appliances, etc. -Supports SSL, VPN, Firewall and network switches. -Monitors system performance and analyzes workload, including traffic and utilization trends. -Designs, implements and monitors integration solutions between Critical Hub and client networks. -Diagnose network issues -Provide support and training to our entry level network and field technicians -Monitor network status and provide reports -Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company Sr. Level -Analyzes network security and threats, as well as remediates LAN and WAN vulnerabilities by the use of industry leading tools. -Researches, tests, evaluates, and recommends telecommunications and data network systems. -Seeks continual performance improvements within a highly secure environment to the network. -Configuration and administration of network hardware and software -Analyze & report network status to company management -Manage budget, and a technical team -Remains current on IP and security products, standards and practices. Provide on going training to Jr. level staff on new trends, standards, and practices. -Perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company Extra skills that would be a plus: -PHP, Javascript programming skills -Perl programming skills -HTML, CSS skills -SQL management Education: -For Entry level position an Associate's degree or competency certificate from a reputable technical institute. -For Jr and Sr positions a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Requirements:

• Relevant work experience in a similar position or industrial attachment
• A good grasp of the IP protocol and IP routing protocols
• Bilingual: Spanish and English
• Some experience managing CISCO or Juniper Router and Switches
• Attention to detail and strong ability to detect network issues quickly
• Capacity to work independently or with little supervision
• Organizational aptitudes and the capacity to organize workload
